Request Failure 403 SPPB

SP Page Builder 10 months ago

Hello, I get an 403 failure when I want to save the changes in SPPB (all latest version) Joomla articles do save as normal.

It's placed on a subdomain. All other websites working without any issues on this server. It's only this website. So I really don't know. The fix in the htaccess file (mod_security) does not do the trick as I expected (tried to do that, no result) because all other (sub)domains work.

I have build in locally using Mamp Pro 7 and everything was ok, after moving to a live server saving SPPB did not work anymore. Weird because all my other sites I did the same work around. Never issues

Can someone please take a look to see why I can't save pagebuilder?

ps. Hosting has checked all, no blockings from hostings end.

Thx in advance!

Hello Robert,

Apologies for the inconvenience and delayed response due to the weekend. I have reviewed your website and did not encounter any issues—everything appears to be functioning as expected.

Could you kindly double-check from your end? If the issue persists, I request that you provide a screen recording demonstrating the problem. This will help us better understand the situation and work towards a solution.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Hello, it seems when I use a VPN (another IP) I can save. What you said made me think so I activated a VPN. Then I can save like you said. Going back to my normal IP the issue is back? Weird. It only occurs in pagebuilder. The rest on the website I can save. see image in details.

Where or how can pagebuilder block or deny my ip??

Thank you for the update. That’s indeed unusual behavior. Could you please share your location or the region from which you are accessing the website? This information will help us investigate further to see if any specific IP-related restrictions might be in place.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Could you please reach out to your hosting provider regarding this issue? It’s possible that the hosting firewall might be blocking your specific IP. They should be able to check and resolve any IP-related restrictions that could be causing this problem. Let us know if they identify anything, and we’ll assist further if needed.

After 2 days of searching and searching someone told me that the hosting settings has changed. Recently when you add a new subdomain the CDN is active by default. This wasn't before. The security is set to high. This is a recently added feature on Hostinger.

Solution is to lower security level or disable the cdn for that (sub)domain.

Not doing this can result in weird behavior in SPPB. You are unable to save your changes from your own IP address. Even when your IP is whitelisted on the server. Once your site is finished you can choose to activate the CDN again.

Thank you for sharing this valuable solution. Understanding that recent changes in hosting settings, such as the default activation of CDN and high-security levels for new subdomains, can impact SP Page Builder functionality is crucial. Your insight into lowering the security level or temporarily disabling the CDN to resolve issues with saving changes is incredibly helpful.

This information will undoubtedly assist other users facing similar challenges, ensuring they can work on their sites efficiently while still maintaining security measures once their projects are complete. We appreciate your contribution to the community!

Thanks, since Hostinger isn't the smallest one around I guess more people who use their services will run into the same issue sooner or later.
