I have updated my website from joomla 3 to 5. Since then, my page with the references (filters and galleries) no longer works. Can anyone help me find out what I have forgotten here? I am a beginner and have only taken over the website and not created it myself. I don't understand how the objects are loaded on the old site.

Old side (this is how it should look): https://www.gartenbau-grab.ch/referenzen New side (this is what it looks like since the update): https://grab.admotionclient.ch/referenzen

Hi there!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

To assist you more effectively, may I kindly request temporary administrative access to your site? This will allow me to thoroughly investigate and resolve the issue for you.

Before sharing the credentials, I strongly recommend taking a complete backup of your site to ensure all data remains secure.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Hello There,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with your "References" page following the update of your website from Joomla 3 to Joomla 5.

Upon investigating your concern, I can confirm that this issue is not related to any JoomShaper product. As my colleague Paul mentioned, the problem arises from a custom override in the file: html/mod_articles_category/referenzen.php

The template you are currently using is not a JoomShaper template. Therefore, the issue likely stems from compatibility problems with this override and the updated Joomla version. I recommend contacting the template author for assistance in resolving the problem, as they will be best equipped to address the compatibility adjustments required.

Thank you for your understanding. If there’s anything else I can assist you with, please feel free to let me know.

Best regards, Shuvo

For me, it looks that on the new site, old (more complexed) module is not used anymore. Instead of you published articles category module.

Check what module was used on the J3 site, and find J4/J5 version of it, and use on the new site. Name of it you will find inside Module addon, then go to Module Manager, search by name.

Nobody said that Joomla upgrade is fast, easy & cheap process.

Thank you very much for your help! Unfortunately, I don't see any modules on the old page that are used and no longer exist, so it could actually be that something was programmed manually. However, nothing is visible via FTP either.

Yes, in Joomla 3 there was used customized module view (programmed manually) as template override: html/mod_articles_category/referenzen.php

Please contact with the previous webmaster of this website about details. Code update is needed, becuase J5 has different code that was in J3. Or find Joomla Developer who can update few lines for you. Sorry, but Your problem goes beyond JoomShaper support.
