If audio is enabled video is not starting on its own while with video on mute it works fine

Yes, it's limitation from the browsers software. Chrome, Firefox, Safari all of them.

From our side not yet. But I know that some News websites uses some JS hacks to get around this restriction.

You can ask on forum.joomla.org or other forum(s) what hacks webmasters uses.
