hi team, i have back then the sp-cookie consent plugin installed on J3. since the update to J5 i deinstalled it but have now loads of code left over and can't find where to delete that. the pop up is still there on every page now, regardless if you confirm or decline the cookies.

Hi

See there is nothing in your site. You have to check your site not backend. If you want to remove the codes then you have to remove the codes from your core files. And its highly recommended not to touch your core files.

Hi

Thanks for contacting us. Please go to System --> Plugins --> Disable SP-Cookie Consent.

https://prnt.sc/1xftKdBQX0uv

OR you can use this CSS in your custom.css file

.cc-window.cc-banner.cc-type-opt-in.cc-theme-block.cc-opacity-100.cc-bottom.cc-color-override-1663189986{
  display: none;
}

-Regards.

hey, yes I did disable and then fully deinstalled the plug in. still there is the code appearing on every site. If I use the css code, there is still a fragment left visible. but in general its not a nice work around. where can i delete the code out from?

thanks but I still see code in the body that belonged to the sp-cookieconsent. <div tabindex="0" role="button" class="cc-revoke cc-bottom cc-color-override-1663189986" style="">Cookie policy</div> and below as well. when i click the "cookie policy" button in the lower left, it just disappears. and pops up again on another side.

<div role="dialog" aria-live="polite" aria-label="cookieconsent" aria-describedby="cookieconsent:desc" class="cc-window cc-banner cc-type-opt-in cc-theme-block cc-opacity-100 cc-bottom cc-color-override-1663189986 cc-invisible" style="display: none;"><!--googleoff: all--><span id="cookieconsent:desc" class="cc-message"><span class="cc-message-text">This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website.</span> <a aria-label="" role="button" tabindex="0" class="cc-link cc-cookie cc-empty" href="javascript:void(0)" rel="noopener noreferrer noindex nofollow" target="_blank"></a> <a aria-label="" role="button" tabindex="0" class="cc-link cc-privacy cc-empty" href="javascript:void(0)" rel="noopener noreferrer noindex nofollow" target="_blank"></a></span><div class="cc-compliance cc-highlight"><a aria-label="Decline" role="button" tabindex="0" href="javascript:void(0);" class="cc-btn cc-deny">Decline</a><a aria-label="Allow cookies" role="button" tabindex="0" href="javascript:void(0);" class="cc-btn cc-allow">Allow cookies</a></div><!--googleon: all--></div>
