Hi

On HELIX I have added a custom CSS class here https://prnt.sc/tQpYNdPrhuC5 But on front-end, when I inspect the code, the css class is not applied here https://prnt.sc/UOU81-D0Eilv But on page source code the css class is displayed here https://prnt.sc/epbvn1rn1XXS

I think this is a bug.

If you want to see the class name of child items then you should add your class name form the menu area.

https://prnt.sc/497bjdzi5JMy

Besides, If you want to use mega menu with a class then you can use the class name from the template settings.

there is a bug with words mega-menu on links on level 1 and 2 here https://prnt.sc/50pFA6xDS9v3 because you add a css class called mega-menu-XXXX on level 1 and 2 , does not work. because on links from level 3, works fine. test it from your side you will see.

Got it your point. But, If you use menu type system links then your class will be add inside anchor tag. If you use any item like as signle article or category blog etc. Then it will work.
