Joomla V5.2.4 Changes And Joomshaper Response To That Long Term?

Hey Joomshaper team.

With the offical Joomla dev team pointing out issues with breakages to templates and extensions that used default="0" and saying the change to codebase needs to be adhered too - changing default="0" to default="".

With that being the default for Joomla v5.2.4 onwards, how soon will Joomshaper team release updated versions of Helix Ultimate framework and SP Pagebuilder Pro, to meet the new requirements and fix the issues that the community is facing at present?

Just trying to put some time frames in place, to work through updates required for a load of customer sites, as others probably are too.

Cheers, Tom.

Hi Tom,

Thank you for reaching out and for your proactive approach in planning for the upcoming changes.

We’re pleased to inform you that the Helix Ultimate framework has already been updated to comply with the new requirements introduced in Joomla 5.2.4, and the updated version has been published.

Regarding SP Page Builder Pro, after thorough testing, we haven’t identified any issues related to the default="0" to default="" change. Therefore, no immediate update is required for SP Page Builder at this time. However, we remain vigilant and will promptly address any concerns if they arise.

We appreciate your diligence in managing customer sites and are here to support you through any updates you may need.

If you have any further questions or encounter any issues, feel free to reach out.

Best regards
