Cannot Seem To Add A Simple Menu

Hi there

I have a site https://gsc2025.org. This has a top bar in blue, with the logo and main menu below that. I'm trying add a simple 3 or 4 item menu to the left side of the top bar (right above the logo) for lesser items that can then be removed from the main menu.

I already created the area for this in the template, and have created the module with the relevant menu attached, making sure that the menu class box is empty as I'd like to simply style this as white text. But every time I publish the module, the menu appears as if it's a vertical sidebar menu (with lines dividing the items) not a simple linear non-dropdown line. I cannot show this as it's a live site, but does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi Roy,

Indeed, by default Vertical Menu is used, that's why you have to use class name from bootstrap5 (defult in Joomla5) to make in horizontal. Again, I will redirect you to Helix documenation >> https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/helix-framework/customization-tips#how-to-make-the-bottom-menu-vertical-instead-of-horizontal

Just use that same class name in Menu module.

You did the right thing, but the default behavior from BT styles made your webmaster life more difficult ;]

Yes, if that extra top menu will remain unchanged for longer time, successfully you can use Custom module.
