Permission Issue - User Without Access To Menus Should Not Be Able To 'Add To Menu' From PageBuilder.

Hi,

I've just realised, through a client query, that even though a user account has access to PageBuilder for editing, but has access to the Joomla Menus blocked, they can still 'Add to Menu' for a PageBuilder page via the 3 dots to the right of each page in the PageBuilder list of pages.

If a user account does not have Menu access, they should not be allowed to do this.

I think menu should be disabled and there will be no confusion. We have to check User permission to menu when accessing SP Page Builder dashboard.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for reaching out to our technical support forum. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing. Rest assured, I will look into this issue for you and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.

If you could kindly provide any additional information regarding the issue, it would greatly help me investigate and address it more efficiently. I have applied this settings. Add to Menu from SP Page Builder does not work. Please share your settings and I will check this.

Hmm, I left the ACL set as Inherited (Not Allowed) which should work.

If I set it manually to Denied, it does prevent the menu item from being added, though the option is still there in PageBuilder, and the process looks like the menu item is created, as no errors or warnings show up if a DENIED user tries to add a Page to a menu.

Ideally, it should follow usual Joomla ACL of Inherited (Not Allowed) - and ideally then not even show this option to a user where they do not have permission.

Okay, I have used Inherited now. But menu is not added. However, you are right. SP Page Builder shows added to menu successful which is not correct. I will ask the team to check the issue.

Thanks, I had a client manage to add a menu item with Inherited, not sure how they managed it if you can't replicate.
