Default Option Image Dynamic Content

How does the default option work when I have an image field in a Dynamic Content Collection? I can upload a picture there and was guessing that that picture will be displayed untill I upload a picture in the entry. So when having a database of companies and an image field for their logo, of their logo is not uploaded/selected the set default image will be shown. But it seems to do nothing... Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Accepted AnswerApology for the inconvenience. By default, the image should be selected automatically. When adding an item to the collection, the default image should appear as preselected. However, you can change it while adding the item. If the default image is not displaying as expected, please verify that it is properly set in the field configuration.
