Upgrading J3 Site With SPPB Pro V5

I have a Joomla! 3.10.12 website and I am using SPPB Pro 3.8.1

I now want to upgrade to Joomla 4.

Do I need to install SPPB Pro v5 on my J3 site first? Or, upgrade my site to J4 then upgrade to SPPB Pro v5?

Hi Johnny.

  1. The SPPB 3.8.x version can work in Joomla 3.10 and Joomla 4.4 only. It means that for now you can keep SPPB 3.8.10.
  2. Yes, first upgrade Joomla from 3.x to 4.4. During that process you can ignore Joomla warnings about SPPB plugins.
  3. About SPPB 5.x you can install it on Joomla 4.x - it will be better.
