Helix & Templates - Why Not .webp For Logo Pic?

Hello, I don't know if anyone has already pointed this out to you, but still, at least to my knowledge with the latest updated versions, the templates do not accept the webp format for the logo. How come? Is this an error on my part? Did I miss some setting somewhere unknown to me :-D ? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Apologies for the inconvenience.

At the moment, the current version of the Helix Ultimate framework does not support the WebP format for logos. However, we’d like to assure you that the development team is actively working on an upcoming update, which will include support for WebP logo files.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to improve the framework.

Best regards

Hello,

Please try to upload the webp image in your media first, then you should be able to select that image from logo option. Sample screenshots:

In next Helix Update, you should be able to use .webp as Logo and inside Media Blog tab.

If you can share access, we can install you updated plugin sooner.

Done, you should be able to choose logo image in .webp format, I made test and worked.

Just select .webp image for Desktop logo etc.

Paul, you're amazing, everything is working now and I've gotten rid of something that was lowering the quality score of the site.

Thanks again! When will this change be official? I would also suggest specifying that the Media Manager needs to be modified to accept .webp files from online uploads because, for some reason I don't understand, it doesn't natively accept that format and it needs to be added.

Thanks again, Paul, and have a great day!

I think in the end of next week.

.webp you can also use inside "Media Blog" tab in articles, not only .jpg as it was before.

It's worth to use it, smaller & better quality.
