Is There A Bug With SP Page Builder Pro After Exiting Joomla Adm Page?

Is there a bug with SP page builder pro after exiting Joomla Adm page? I notice that after I close out of SP Page Builder Pro and log off from the Joomla Adm page that an Edit button appears on the home page of the website.

The edit button still works even though I have exited out of Joomla adm page and closed out S P page builder pro. When I go to another page an Edit module on the breadcrumb section appears. I have screen recorded this information for you to see. But I can't upload the file.

I am using the helix ultimate template and SP page builder pro 5.6.1. Currently I am hosting the website on my laptop using Mamp pro 7. The only I can the stop the edit button and edit module of Sp page builder pro is to completely exit from the browswer. Is this the only way I can prevent the edit button and edit module button from showning up?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

The "Edit" button you’re seeing appears because you are still logged in to the Joomla frontend, even after logging out from the backend. SP Page Builder Pro’s frontend editor remains accessible as long as a user session is active on the frontend.

To prevent the edit buttons and modules from appearing, please ensure you log out from the frontend of the site as well. Once logged out completely (both backend and frontend), the edit options will no longer be visible.

Let me know if you need assistance with this process or have any further questions.

If you would provide me a link to upload a video showing there is a bug logging out of the frontend of joomla after using sp page bulder pro. It would show me exiting the frontend but the edit page button stills appears.

I tried to insert a screen shot showing edit page but the reply will not let me insert the image.

I know you are trying to help me. I provided you a link for you see the exit error (the edit button still appears, after I exit the SP page builder, helix framework, and joomla administrator page).

Apologies for the inconvenience. Could you please share another screen recording—this time while you are experiencing the issue? Kindly include the steps leading up to the problem, especially navigating to the login page. You can find the login page under the "Pages" menu.

This will help us better understand and resolve the issue promptly.

Thank you!

Thank you for your reply and for sharing the screen recording.

However, may I kindly ask if you had a chance to review my previous message? I requested that you show the frontend login page, which is located under the "Pages" main menu on your website.

The issue you're describing is not actually a bug. As mentioned earlier, in order to access or exit the frontend editor, the user must be logged in or out from the frontend—not the Joomla administrator (backend) area.

In your case, you're logging out only from the Joomla admin panel, but still remain logged in on the frontend. That’s why the edit button continues to appear. Once you log out properly from the frontend, the edit options will no longer be visible.

Please try that and let me know if the issue persists.

I thought I followed your instructions. At the 42 second mark on the video. I am logging into SP Page Builder Pro when I click on the Frontend editor.

At the 1:08 mark in the video, I am logging out or closing out of Frontend editor. At the 1:13 mark in the video you'll notice that edit module button still appears.

Thank you for the video. However, it seems the instructions were not fully followed.

As I mentioned earlier, Joomla handles backend and frontend logins separately. Logging out from the backend does not automatically log you out from the frontend. In the video, I didn’t see the specific frontend login page I referred to in my previous message.

To resolve the issue with the "Edit" button still appearing, please make sure to log out from the frontend specifically. Once you do that, the edit module button should no longer be visible.

Let me know if you need further clarification.

In the video around the 45 second mark I am logging in at the frontend editor for "Home-test1." At the 1 minute 9 second mark in the video I am closing out of the frontend editor for "Home-test1." A few seconds later, the "edit-module" still appears on the page of "Home-test1." Please review the video.

At the 1 minute 31 second mark in the video, I log off the Joomla Adm page. Did you review the entire video? After, I log off I go back to the home page and you can still "edit-module" button on the right. I have included a link to see the video again.

@Steve: You have a misunderstanding here. You have NOT logged out of the Joomla frontend - closing the SP Page Builder Pro frontend editor does not mean logging out. Also, if you are logged in to the Joomla frontend (as you do in 1:46 in your video) and log out of the back-end, Joomla will still keep your frontend user logged in.

This might seem irritiating, butis is expected behaviour.

To log out of the front-end as well, you either have to do this in the backend (you can see your logged-in frontend user in the video at 2:02, there you can click the red "Log out" button, or you can log out in the Joomla frontend via a menu entry (which might need to be configured first in the backend, if it is not there).

Hope this helps.

Ben you are right I thought closing out of the SP Page Builder Pro was the same as logging out.

Ben, there is no red "log out" Button. The Red you are probably seeing in the video is from decoration item next to the "Mega" menu item.

Atick Eashrak Shuvo -Support Agent, Can I provide you a link to download the website (Akeeba backup). After you download it. Could you make video or provide me an image of what or where I need to log off SP Page Builder Pro?
