Editing Invoice Text And Adding Tax Number

Hi,

I'm trying to translate the English phrases on the invoice into Dutch, but I can't seem to find where to do this. Also, I need to add my tax number to the invoice, as this is legally required.

Is there a place where I can edit the default invoice details?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards, Matthias

Yes the thing is that it only works if the administrator (backend) is in dutch and we like the original english for that. We just overwritten the administrator/language/en-GB/com_easystore.ini

As we tryed first the administrator/language/overrides/en-GB/com_easystore.ini but this not seems to work unfortunately.

Thanks for your response and have a nice day :)

Hello Matthias,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

At the moment, adding a tax number directly to the invoice isn’t supported in EasyStore. However, I’ve submitted your request as a feature suggestion, and we plan to include an option for adding a tax number in a future update.

To translate your entire EasyStore component, including the invoice:

  1. Go to Components → EasyStore → Settings → Language
  2. Install or enable the Dutch language pack from there

Once installed, the interface and invoice text will switch to Dutch automatically if your site’s admin language is also set to Dutch.

If you’ve enabled language debugging from Global Configuration, you’ll see language constants like COM_EASYSTORE_ORDER_PRINT_PACKING_SLIP_EMAIL. You can override these in:

System → Language Overrides Select the Dutch admin language, search for the constant, and enter your translated value.

Let me know if you need help with specific strings or anything else!

Thanks again, Best regards,

Good day ziaul,

And thanks for getting back to me. This is actually way more than I asked for — in a good way!

Even just having a few (custom) fields that only appear on the invoice when filled in would already be perfect. This looks even more advanced, which is awesome.

I can imagine others might want to add different types of fields as well (commercial number for example)— Like this it’s limited to the tax number only. But for my use case, that’s totally fine :)

Thanks again! - Matt
