Unable To Set Satisfactory Colors On Child Off-canvas Menu Items

I've been unable to set the child colors in my dark mode off-canvas menu to get acceptable visibility in my site artsgourmet.org. The CSS snipets that I have added in the Custom Code area don't seem to be working. I have the same problem with the off-canvas login icon.
I'm also disappointed that the fonts can't be set using the Custom Style selection in the Presets area.

Please check the site now. I’ve added a custom.css file in the JRoot/templates/shaper_helixultimate/css directory and included the necessary CSS to resolve the visibility issues in the off-canvas menu and login icon.
