Question About Carousel Pro Image Transitions

Hello SP Page Builder Team,

I’m a registered user and I’m currently working with the Carousel Pro addon to build slideshows for property listings on my website. I’ve encountered a technical issue related to image transitions:

If I insert images using the “Slide Image” field, they don’t fill the entire slide area — they appear centered and smaller, even when I try to stretch or apply custom CSS. On the other hand, if I use images as slide backgrounds, they fill the space correctly, but no transition effects (fade, slide, etc.) are applied between slides.

My question is: ➡️ Is there a recommended way to display full-size images inside each slide and still use transition effects in Carousel Pro? Is there a workaround to make standard images behave like background images (full width/full height), while keeping animation features?

Thank you in advance for your help and your great product!

Best regards, Francis

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight. I would request you to use the Slideshow addon instead of Carousel Pro addon to serve your perpouse.

Hi Toufiqur,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the recommendation to use the Slideshow addon instead of Carousel Pro — I’ve actually already implemented that solution and it works beautifully, especially with fade transitions.

That being said, I can’t help but smile a little: the suggestion implies that Carousel Pro, despite the name, isn’t really suitable for advanced or polished use cases like mine. So I’m left wondering — what exactly makes it “Pro”? 😊

In any case, I’m glad the workaround exists and appreciate your help. Just a gentle thought: perhaps it’s time to revisit the label or the documentation for Carousel Pro, so future users know what to expect!

Best regards, Francis
