*** Before Update ORBIT Theme, Lost All Styles.

Hello,

This morning I updated the ORBIT theme to the latest version, and I've lost all the styles I had previously in the same theme. How is this possible? The template styles aren't saved in the database, and when updating, it keeps the ones already installed?

We've lost a day's worth of work. We've uploaded the products to EasyStore, added photos, features, etc. And the surprise is that when we updated ORBIT, the entire design was lost.

How solve this ?

Hi,

Appology for your experience.

However, template update won't remove your color or styles, but it can be shown as the default values got priority. Most cases, turning off compressions or toggling SCSS, then clearing caches can solve the problem. If you still have this issue on any of your demo sites, you may give me access, so that I can check.

About custom CSS, please put them in the template defined custom CSS field or in custom.css file. They will be intact during any template update. You can check the related documentation here:

Hi there!

Sorry to hear that.

Which styles did you mean please? May I have a bit more details with screenshot or screencast indicating the differences? Moreover how did you style? From template settings or custom CSS?

Best regards,

Hi, The header styles, for example, the fonts and their sizes, the colors, etc. I assume there's also some CSS that was implemented for some simple modifications. The fact is that when updating the ORBIT template, all the styles and settings were lost. Let's say it set the default ones. This also means that specific footer designs, etc., are lost. It's quite frustrating. I'm currently in the process of restoring a previous backup and re-adding the products to the store, etc. But it would be interesting to know if there's a specific process to follow to avoid losing your current configuration of styles, colors, etc. before updating a theme, whether it's ORBIT or another. Just like in easystore, you can also customize the cart, product page, etc.
