Disable Date-Based Media Upload Folders

Is there a way to disable the creation of date-based folders when uploading media files? Uploads are going to /images/YYYY/MM/DD/. I want uploads to go to /images or be able to designate where files are being uploaded to.

I am afraid that is not possible to disable that, it was introduced a few years ago in SPPB.
But you can upload files by Joomla Media Manager, and use it inside SPPB.

Thank you for your help. I was afraid that it was not going to be possible to disable dated folders. When I set the featured image under the Blog Media tab, the only option is to upload the image. I am good with uploading files in Joomla Media Manager to use inside SPPB for other areas.
Maybe this can be considered for a feature request for future updates. It is annoying, but not the end of the world. :-)
