Hi,

today I transfered my website from my local server to my hosting provider. There I am getting a lot of deprecated error messages. See image: https://files.fm/u/mt5p45fsyn

My hoster Ionos is using PHP8.3

Go into your PHP settings and disable PHP Error Reporting.

Compare your php.ini files between local and your hosting provider and make them match if possible.

Hello Portia,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please try updating your PHP version to 8.2 and see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, could you provide temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can share the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Before doing so, we recommend taking a full backup of your site to ensure everything is safe.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and work on identifying the cause of the issue. Kindly let me know once you’ve shared the details.

Best regards,

BTW

The last deprecated message on your list is/was from RegularLabs plugin. Check also if you are using the last version and contact with its developer.

Thank you all for your quick response.

The issue was solved by itself. The hoster was using PHP 8.4. I changed it to 8.3, but the messages came again. This is when I wrote my message. A few minutes later the error messages disappeared. Maybe a took a bit longer for the PHP change to become effective.

At least you will know now, what you still have to work on when people change to PHP 8.4

Thanks again Ralph for Portia

Yes, in hosting services there is time gap after switching a PHP version, between 1 and 20 minutes. SOmetiems you may even see a Error 500 page for 90sec. It's fully normal behavior.

PHP 8.2 and PHP 8.3 (better) is fully OK, and yes, we are working to improve for PHP 8.4 in SPPB & Helix.
