Integrate participation forum into SP LMS

Hello, community! I would like to integrate an independent forum into each course in SP LMS. In other words, I want each course to have a forum where students can discuss and participate. But the forums need to be independent of each other. That is, forum 1 in course 1 should not have access to forum 2 in course 2.

What other component can I use to integrate this into SP LMS?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello Agustín Gómez-Tostón-Salazar López,

Thanks for your question!

SP LMS doesn’t include a built-in discussion forum feature for individual courses. However, you can integrate a third-party Joomla forum extension alongside SP LMS to achieve a similar result.

Popular forum components like Kunena, EasyDiscuss, or ChronoForums can be used for this purpose. You could, for example, create a separate forum category (or board) for each course and then link it manually within the course description or lesson content. This way, each course has its own dedicated discussion area while keeping them independent from each other.

That said, this type of setup requires custom integration or configuration, which falls outside the scope of our support. You may need a developer’s assistance to automate the linking or access control between SP LMS courses and their respective forum categories.

You can check the SP LMS documentation for reference: 🔗 SP LMS Documentation

Hope this clarifies things!

Best regards
