Media Manager: Folder Access And Disabling Automatic Date-based Folder Creation

Hello,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with the Media Manager integrated into JoomShaper. In Joomla’s native Media Manager, I can see all folders and files normally, but in the JoomShaper Media Manager, most folders are either invisible or inaccessible.

Would it be possible to configure the JoomShaper Media Manager so that it displays and allows access to all folders and files, starting from the /images directory (just like in Joomla’s standard Media Manager)?

In addition, I would like to disable the automatic creation of date-based folders when uploading files, as I prefer to manage my own folder structure manually.

Finally, I’d like these changes to be permanent, meaning they should not be overwritten after updates of the component.

Thank you very much for your help and feedback.

Best regards,

Ultimately, what I need is to be able to find and use the same media files and folders no matter which Media Manager I use — whether it’s the native Joomla Media Manager or the one integrated into JoomShaper (SP Page Builder).

In other words, both systems should refer to the same folder structure (ideally starting from /images) so that all uploaded files remain visible and usable in both interfaces.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out. At the moment, it’s not possible to make it work exactly like Joomla’s native Media Manager. If the folders appear invisible or inaccessible (are you using Firefox browser?), this issue is expected to be resolved in the upcoming update.

Hi Toufiq,

I’m using Edge.

Regarding the automatic date folders, can I disable that? I prefer to use my own structure (logo, banner, home, about, etc.) instead of the date-based one (2025/10/etc.).

Thanks!

Hi there, To check the issue from our end, please create a staging site and share its login credentials with us. Make sure you provide only the staging site details, not the live site access. This is important because if any issue occurs while we’re working, it will affect only the staging site, not the live one. We want to maintain full transparency between the user and our support team.

Hi Toufiq,

You could find credentials in hidden content.

In the same timle you could maybe see another problem with SP Pagebuilder Pro, for example with the module "FR - Corporate - Top Content", it's ok with the backend editor, but don't work with Forntend editor.

I have the same problem on other pages or modules.

I would have preferred to use a JoomShaper template, but at the moment none of the available templates seem as complete as Bizper.

I really like the desktop hamburger menu, which opens a professional-looking information panel, and also the fact that the Quickinstall, by default, sets up a front-end site already configured for multilingual support.

I’ve been waiting for a long time for a corporate-oriented template from JoomShaper — something that could almost serve as a finished website, where you’d only need to replace the text.

A template that could really showcase the full potential of SP Page Builder and JoomShaper’s products.

But I’m starting to wonder if such a template will ever come.

Thanks.

Oups, there is a mistake in the beginning of the password, it's 2 "s" and 1 "w" and not 1 "s" and 2 "w"

Provide me super admin. But, If you provide me staging site access then it would be good to investigate.

Hi Toufiq,

I’ve upgraded your account to Super Admin on the staging site (dscreation.eu). You can now check the issues — especially the frontend editor, which doesn’t work on most pages and modules (and the media issue already mentioned earlier).

Also, I’ve just noticed a new issue with the slideshow addon: videos play for only one second and then stop automatically.

Just for your information, the final site will be on caplangues.lu or caplangues.sarl.

Thanks again for your help!

Best regards,

Hi Toufiq,

Thank you very much for the video you shared — it’s really clear and helpful. Have you also had a chance to take a look at the issue with the frontend editor?

For example, you can check the issue on the following pages:

  • FR - Home Corporate Demo (the French version of the homepage I’m currently working on)
  • Home Corporate Demo (the default template page I’m using as a base for the homepage mentioned above)

Thanks again for your help and time.

Best regards,

Hello Toufiq, I think there’s been a misunderstanding, or I didn’t explain it well — the issue on the frontend only occurs in edit mode. The backend of SP Page Builder works fine, the final result on the front end also works fine, but editing in the front end gives me 404 errors or other similar ones.
