Tabs Spacing Ipad

Hi, The vertical spacing of tabs navigation on a pc is adjustable well, see first image. However on an ipad the vertical spacing is very large no matter what I enter for padding or margin. Just no change happens. https://imgur.com/a/kDbzGeY
