Is there a way to hide the edit module flags in the front end? I'm using the default Helix Ultamate template.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out.

The edit module flags are only visible on frontend if you are logged in with a super user account or any user who has the editing permission. In general these icons shouldn't be visible, so if visitors visit your site, they can not see this.

If you still want that, you can hide the frontend edit (pencil) icons / module edit badges in Helix Ultimate. These appear only when you are logged in as a user with editing permissions.

Disable “Show Edit Icons” in Joomla Global Settings

  • Go to System → Global Configuration

  • Open Articles

  • Find Show Icons or Show Edit Icons

  • Set it to Hide

This hides the edit icons for articles and modules.

Please do let me know if it helps!

Best regards,
