Hi,

I am using Dynamic Collection with native articles. I want to show the author alias instead of the author. In “normal” Joomla it shows the alias instead of the author when the alias field is not empty.

Let me explain the situation: I have hundreds of articles from different authors stored in the author alias field, but all of them were entered into Joomla by the user “webmaster,” so now it appears as if all the articles were written by the webmaster.

This is the front end with diferent blog post. I have pointed out the author in the first article, but you can see that it is always the same: the user or editor that introduce the article in joomla, not the "real" author. This is why Joomla use an author alias in the back end. Have a look at:

So, in the first screenshot it should show the alias instead of the author. This is how joomla is expected to work.

Hello,

You are correct. Currently, the system only fetches the “Author” (the Joomla user who created the article) and does not consider the Author Alias.

I will inform the development team for further review.
