Column Alignment Forces A Container And Shifts To The Left

Hello, I am working on a section with 3 columns where I need the background to be full width, so I click the Stretch Selection toggle and the background works as expected.

Next, I need the content of my columns to be centered vertically, so I select the Column Alignment toggle so I can click the option to align vertically to the center, but this ends up removing the full width background, puts the 3 columns into a container, and shifts everything to the left.

Is there something I am not doing correctly to use Stretch Selection and Column Alignment?

Hi Ofi, Thanks for getting back to me on this. Here are the screenshots showing this behavior.

Prior to setting Column Alignment: https://prnt.sc/JZs1_BJqYloR

After enabling Column Alignment: https://prnt.sc/eFEhzJKr423J

Thanks for the access. I have set the columns in the center for the section. There are no issues found. Please check the home page again.

Hi Ofi, Can you let me know where you set the change? When I try to do this for the first section just below the hero, it still forces everything to the left.

Thanks Robb

On the section setting, turn off Stretch Section. Then column alignment will work properly.

Hi Ofi, The problem with that solution is, when you turn off the Stretch Section, there is no way to make the background of the Section go the full width of the page. And since you can't nest a row within a row (at least from what I've seen), and you don't have Column Alignment capabilities within a column, it limits the builder to only boxed design functionality.

Is there a different way to make a background of a section full width without using the Stretch Selection option?

Thanks Robb

Can you please share the design mockup? I need to know the layout properly. Then I can assist you. Please share a screenshot of your desired section to understand it better. Take a screenshot and share via any platform. For example: Lightshot or Imgur

Hi Ofi, If you look at the main page where I have a background that extends the full width of the page, that is only possible if I have Stretch Selection enabled. There is no other way to make a background fully extend, while still maintaining a container for the actual content.

The Test page you created is a good example as well. If I needed that blue/purple gradient to go the full width of the page, I can only do that by using Stretch Selection - but then I lose the ability to use Column Alignment, because it forces the container to the left and drops the full width background.

Thanks Robb

I need to check your files. Better if you could share an Akeeba Backup. I will check it on my localhost. Please take a full site backup with Akeeba Backup in ZIP format and share here. Follow this tutorial. I will check it on my localhost.
