Is There A Way To Apply Discounts To Specific Category/items?

Hello,
Was wondering if there is any way to easily apply discounts to a specific category? For example, if I simply want to apply 35% discount to category shirts at one time so that all shirts automatically have it applied or do I have to go one by one and apply the 35% discount price on every shirt currently? I know we can do coupons but what if I don't want to do the coupons and just a simple discount to a category? Thnx

Accepted AnswerThanks for response, I was looking for something where a actual code is not needed from the user. I used to use a different ecommerce Extension and it gave Coupone Code option also a Discount option where you could automtically apply discounts to categories without a discount code being needed at checkout. Thnx
