Clean Url SEO Friendly

Hi,

current interface does not allow setting an alias for an Article Detail page to obtain an SEO-friendly URL

If I create a blog, the article detail page is dynamic and there's no way to have a clean URL.

It's quite frustrating; a solution with a hidden menu isn't possible either because it's impossible to link the blog's details page.

Solution ? Apart from using the native Joomla blog which is SEO friendly?

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out and for explaining the issue in detail — I understand how frustrating URL structure and SEO limitations can be, especially when working with dynamic content.

I’ve checked this on my end, and SEO-friendly URLs are working correctly with SP Page Builder Dynamic Content (Articles). The article detail pages should generate clean, SEO-friendly URLs when Joomla’s global SEO settings (SEF URLs enabled, URL rewriting active, etc.) are properly configured.

That said, there may be site-specific factors involved (menu structure, routing conflicts, overrides, or third-party extensions) that are preventing this from working as expected on your installation.

To assist you more effectively, could you please provide temporary administrator access to your site so I can investigate the issue directly and identify the exact cause?

Before sharing any credentials, I strongly recommend taking a full site backup to ensure everything remains secure.

I’ll be happy to review this promptly and help you achieve the desired SEO-friendly URL structure without having to fall back to the native Joomla blog layout.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards

Site is only in local... What do you think for this method : Improved Blog Structure Method for SP Page Builder - JoomShaper Proposal The Problem When using the Article Index Page directly for multiple category menu items, all category pages share the same layout, creating duplicate content issues and poor SEO. The Solution Instead of assigning the Article Index Page to menus, create Standard SP Page Builder Pages (one per category) that use the Collection Addon with category filters. Methodology

  1. Create Article Detail Page (template for all articles)
  2. Create Article Index Page (optional reference only)
  3. For each category: Create a Standard Page containing:
    • Unique hero section with category-specific content
    • Collection Addon (Source: Articles, Filter: Category = X)
    • Custom editorial content, colors, CTAs
  4. Assign Standard Pages (not Index Page) to menu items Key Benefits No duplicate content - each category page has unique editorial content Better SEO - unique meta descriptions and page structure per category Keeps dynamic content - Collection Addon still auto-populates articles Full customization - each category can have distinct design/colors Better UX - users see clear differentiation between categories Real Example Blog with 5 categories (Architecture Advice, Decor Ideas, Small Spaces, Styles, Budget):

Each gets its own Standard Page with unique hero, description, and color theme Collection Addon filters articles by category name All pages link to same Article Detail Page template Result: 5 distinct pages instead of 5 identical ones

Recommendation for Documentation Add a section titled: "Creating Multi-Category Blogs Without Duplicate Content" explaining when to use Standard Pages + Collection Addon instead of direct Article Index Page assignment (recommended for 3+ categories).

Use Case: Perfect for blogs with multiple distinct categories that need SEO optimization and unique presentation per category while maintaining the benefits of Joomla Native Articles integration.
