Can SP Pagebuilder Versioning Be Disabled? (_sppagebuilder_versions)

Can SP pagebuilder versioning be disabled? On "weaker" hostings, the DB grows considerably and each item must be deleted separately or via the DB.

Due to the number of queries to the DB, the website crashes with the message: 1615 Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared

Deleting helps, but it's not easy...

Manully deleting is not an effective method to delal with the database bloatware casued by the SPPB enhancement.

We need this option sooner than later it is critical for those who have limited hosting services

Also running into this on shared webhost with less than ideal resources (they can't recreate the error since it's intermittent). Hopefully a fix will be released soon.
