For some reason the option to create article details or list pages is greyed out now for me - not sure why? https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Please note that only one index and one details page can be created for articles (or any dynamic collection) at a time. If these pages have already been created prnt.sc/zI3enDML6QQZ, the option will appear disabled.

If you need to create new ones, you will first need to remove the existing index/details pages (including from the trash), after which the option should become available again.

What if you want different template pages for different article categories?

If you want different layouts for different article categories, you can create separate regular SP Page Builder pages and use the Dynamic Collection addon to display content dynamically based on the category.

However, please note that different single article layouts per category are currently not supported. The single article layout remains the same for all articles across the site.

Eg I am using the article list for Insights category here: https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/insights With the articles displayed in 1 column from insights category.

I have tried to create a different layout using a standard pagebuilder page here because I want a different layout for these articles in the projects category: https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/projects

However because its a standard page colection seems not to generate friendly URLs AND for some reason it is loading the slideshow module at the top from homepage even though that module is only set to appear on the homepage? See: https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/?view=article&id=19:seed-house&catid=18

The page should look as the preview: https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/component/sppagebuilder/page/15

This is really limited/frustrating and time consuming and the way it works with Helix template not very intuitive.

Hi Really need an answer on this to move ahead with the website - I have a whole "Projects" category to create - If this isn't going to work I'll have to find something that will?

Apologies for the inconvenience and the delayed response.

In Joomla, if a page is not assigned to any menu item, the page URL is treated as the Home menu item when accessed directly. Since the page is not linked with a specific menu item, Joomla loads the modules assigned to the Home menu, which is why the module is appearing on that page.

To resolve this issue, please assign the page to a dedicated menu item and configure the module assignment accordingly.

Thats means that every page in a category that gets added by a client needs to also add an individual menu link - that doesn't really work well. Also here on this list page: https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/insights

If you click on first article putton - note I get meessage: You don't have permission to access this. Please contact a website administrator if this is incorrect. The page is public.

Again page previews OK (Article Page edited with SPpagebuilder) https://dev.integratedbiotecture.com/component/sppagebuilder/page/17

Does that mean I need a menu item for every single page?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

You do not need to add every item as a menu entry. Instead, you should simply add the category or index page to the menu.
