SP Page Builder 6.6.2 – Articles Addon Category Filter Missing?

Hi,

I'm testing the Articles addon in SP Page Builder 6.6.2.

According to the current documentation, the addon only provides https://prnt.sc/vhLt-987n0Jk :

  • Ordering
  • Include Subcategories

There is no option to select one or more Joomla article categories.

In my tests, the addon displays articles from multiple Joomla categories (e.g. Products and Documentation) at the same time.

Is category filtering intentionally not supported in the current Articles addon, or is there another way to limit the output to specific Joomla categories?

Thanks. :)

I've got something else interesting here:

While testing the Articles addon in SP Page Builder 6.6.2, I noticed some unexpected behavior regarding the "Include Subcategories" setting.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a page with the Articles addon.
  2. Display articles from multiple categories.
  3. Toggle Include Subcategories between Yes and No.

Observed behavior:

  • The option does not appear to affect which articles are displayed.
  • Instead, it seems to affect the category information shown in the frontend output.
  • With Include Subcategories = No, the category labels disappear from the article cards.
  • The displayed articles themselves remain unchanged.

Expected behavior:

I would expect this setting to control whether articles from child categories are included in the query, not whether category information is displayed in the frontend.

Can anyone confirm if this is the intended behavior or a bug?
