Joomla Update Server Blocked By Cloudflare

Hello JoomShaper Support,

since today Joomla is no longer able to check updates from your update servers.

All update sites return the following error: Could not open update site

Affected update URLs include: https://www.joomshaper.com/updates/plg-system-helixultimate.xml https://www.joomshaper.com/updates/com-sp-page-builder-pro-next.xml https://www.joomshaper.com/updates/shaper-helixultimate.xml

These update URLs worked correctly before, but now Joomla cannot download the XML files. It looks like Cloudflare protection may be blocking server-side requests from Joomla.

Could you please check whether your Cloudflare configuration is preventing access to the /updates/ XML files?

Hi Milan,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Could you please try checking for updates again now? If the issue persists, you can manually download the latest version from your JoomShaper account and install it via Joomla Extension Manager as a temporary workaround.

If you're still unable to access the update XML files after trying again, please let us know, and we'll investigate the issue further.

Hello,

I tried updating on a few sites and it seems that the communication is working and the update is being done. Can you confirm that there was a problem with the Cloudflare configuration? I can't update manually on over a hundred sites :-(
