Override Logo URL In Pitech 1.0.2 Template

Hi,
We are using the pitech 1.0.2 template and have created two template styles for it - one for english and one for french. Unfortunately, the logo in the top left of our navigation always links to the english home page.
- If you are looking at a french page and tap on the site logo, the site switches back to english. This is wrong / annoying.
Is there a way to customize the logo link, so that it goes to the french home page when the french menu or a french page is showing, and the english home page when the english menu is shown?
I know I can modify the features/logo.php code, to do the right thing, but this seems like a code hack. If we ever update the template, we will lose this change.

The production website is ottawaoc.ca
To see the problem, please go there. After the home page appears, tap on FR in the menu bar. At this point, the French pages will appear.
Now tap on the logo in the top left. At this point, the English home page will reappear.
We want the French homepage to appear: ottawaoc.ca/fr
