Prompt For Security Credentials - Not Needed For SPBOOKING

P

Preamble

Extension 6 days ago

We think this has to do with the extension, but it also may be the template.

We are using Travelkit with SPBOOKING and a few other 3rd party extensions.

We just launched the site Live to the public this week. We always protect our 'administrator' directory under Joomla

It seems after we did that, when website visitors click on anything related to SPBOOKING, they are prompted for credentials.. We must have this fixed. We will NOT be removing protection for the administrator folder structure.

Is something referenced or linked in the administrator folder when SPBOOKING is called for a page?

please see the link to reprocude the issue

Go to https://yourboatsconcierge.com then, click on Packages in the menu. You will be prompted for credentials, but should Not be... same thing happens when clicking on anything SPBOOKING related...

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,

My appologies, We our Security team policy does not allow 3rd party remote access without Contract agreement.

Could you tell me if the SPBOOKING extension should be loading anything within the administrator folder structure?

Actually, this does not seem to be coming from the frontend itself. It appears that one of your tools, .htaccess rules, or server-side security settings may be protecting or redirecting this URL to the administrator login.

Could you please check whether any security tools or extensions, such as Admin Tools or similar, are applying administrator protection to this URL?

Thanks!

Hello,

As mentioned in the original opening Post, We protect ALL of our sites Administrator directories and that WILL NOT change. Over MANY years of develping MANY websites with MANY templates and extensions.. Your SPBOOKING is the ONLY one giving us this issue...

There are No redirects within the htaccess file.. if we Remove the administrator protection (as a test) the problem goes away...

We Did install Joomshaper Power admin 1.0.0 in this template however it is disabled.. Should we un-install it ?? May it be causing this somehow?

When you say .."this URL..." what URL do you meant specificly?

I belive The problem happens when clicking ANY LINK served by the SPBOOKING extension.

View Tour etc... ANY SPBOOKING link...

WHY and how to fix this? You should be able to recreate this on your servers...
