SP Page Builder installation fails with 413 Request Entity Too Large in Herd

I'm trying to install the latest version of SP Page Builder on my localhost using Herd, but the installation fails with this error:

413 Request Entity Too Large
nginx/1.25.4

I want to install SP Page Builder successfully. How do I fix the upload limit in my local Herd setup?

The suggested fixes were to increase Nginx's upload/request-size limit, set PHP upload_max_filesize to at least 25M and post_max_size to at least 128M, check SecRequestBodyLimit (minimum 25MB), and retry the installation ZIP through Joomla's extension installer. The hosting-control-panel instructions don't apply to my localhost setup. I haven't confirmed trying these changes.

Thank you for reaching out.

First, please try restarting your local server application (Herd) and then reinstall SP Page Builder.

If the issue persists, you can try adding the appropriate configuration code to the .htaccess file in your Joomla root directory. By default, Joomla provides a file named htaccess.txt, which you need to rename to .htaccess.

Please also ensure that Search Engine Friendly URLs (SEF) is enabled in Joomla's Global Configuration.

upload_max_filesize = 25M
post_max_size = 128M
memory_limit = 512M
max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 300

Also, you should check error logo of Herd and Joomla

Joomla

administrator/logs/error.php

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please let us know so we can investigate further.
