I'd like to ask whether other EasyStore Pro users have found the product variations editor difficult to work with.
I appreciate that managing product variations, particularly combinations of sizes and widths, presents some challenging programming problems. However, I've found the editor unintuitive in several respects, and at times I've been uncertain about whether my changes have been applied as intended.
For example, the method of deleting a variation row isn't immediately obvious, and I've found the handling of unsaved changes confusing. When I tried to close the variations editor after making a test change, neither the Close button nor the back arrow appeared to respond. I subsequently realised that a message asking me to save my changes had appeared at the far left of the screen, where I hadn't noticed it. Clearer and more prominent feedback in this situation would make the interface easier to understand. More importantly, I couldn't see an obvious way to exit without saving my changes. Users should be able to choose whether to save or discard their changes when leaving the editor, rather than being left wondering how to proceed.
I've also encountered some unexpected variation entries that I haven't been able to explain conclusively. This has made me question how easily unintended changes might occur, and how confidently users can maintain accurate product data.
I'm developing an EasyStore site that needs to maintain stock quantities for individual sizes, reliable product management. It is particularly important that I can have confidence in the editor. It also needs to be straightforward enough for people without technical expertise to use safely.
Have other users encountered similar difficulties? I'd be interested to hear about your experiences, and whether the JoomShaper team has any recommendations or plans to improve the variations editor.
I recognise the complexity involved in developing this functionality, but I believe a more intuitive and predictable interface would be a worthwhile improvement.
