European Data Format by Form Builder [SOLVED]

The Date Formatter option in the Form Builder only controls how the date appears in the email you receive after the form is submitted. It doesn't change the format shown in the date field on the form.

The form uses the browser's built-in date field, so the browser sets the display format based on each visitor's language or region settings. For example, a visitor with US settings will see mm/dd/yyyy, while a visitor with UK settings will see dd/mm/yyyy. This can't currently be changed from the addon settings.

To get dd/mm/yyyy in your emails:

1. Open the Form Builder addon and select your date field.
2. Set Date Formatter to DD/MM/YYYY (31/12/2024).
3. Make sure your email template includes the field's placeholder, for example {{your_field_name}}.
4. Save the page and submit a test form.

The form may still show mm/dd/yyyy on your device, but the email will show the date as dd/mm/yyyy, whichever format the visitor sees.
