Recaptcha Problem On Web Page With Multiple Captchas

SP Page Builder 4 years ago

I have a unique problem on my web pages that have the SP Page Builder recaptcha in the footer. Both captchas work but the bottom one is asking to complete the captcha. Even when both captchas are completed!

No errors in the console or issues outside of that. This only happens when the captcha is enable in the footer via SP Page Builder.

Hello there,

As you can see in the screenshot, recaptcha is completed. Would you mind telling us where's the problem you are facing exactly?

Thanks!

HI, it's known problem (also for WordPress webmasters), but it's not caused by us. Just Google doesn't manage if this same code is loaded 2x. In that case I suggest using different anti-spam method for contact form. Maybe question - doesn't have to be 2+2. Or disable reacapatcha for newsletter module/addon and set confirmation in 1st newsletter message.

Hello Muntasir and Paul,

@Paul, I thought that too but two of my other pages actually have two captchas that work perfectly (and would have 3 if i enabled for the newsletter sign up), see https://tsri.com/modernize and https://tsri.com/contact-us. It works perfectly there.

The only difference here is that the Newsletter (bottom right one) is the SP Page Builder "opt-in" form. Where it will ask me to compelte the captcha. Right now i have it turned off because it doesn't work and continues to ask me to complete it even though i completed it, and even completed both of them if i have them both enabled.

@Muntasir, The problem is not that the captcha is not completed - I think that works fine! The problem is, that the SP Page Builder "opt-in" form does not recognize that it was completed in fact. Regardless if even both captchas are solved. It is almost like the opt-in form does not recognize that is was solved. Having both captchas in fact works (see response to paul above) but having the captcha enabled in the footer/opt-in form, will give me the "complete the captcha" message.

Right now i have the captcha disabled for the opt-in form in the footer, which gets me around 100 spam email sign-ups a day unfortunately.

"opt-in" form addon loads/use this same captcha - so it can be a source of problem.

Try to load only one addon, it would be the faster method to solve it

When i load one of them, it works but i am getting spam through the one that i don't load.

It works perfectly at https://tsri.com/modernize and https://tsri.com/contact-us. Just not in the opt-in one in the footer.

In order to significantly reduce spam from bots, i will need to have the captcha working on both.

Maybe add also extra checkbox ( [] I agree Private policy) for Contact form

And I think using Invisible Captcha is better than using classic, old one.

Sorry, but I don't see other way in the current version of SPPB.

Alternative idea for Newsletter area - make a subpage with registration to newsletter and at the bottom add only link to that page, it would give you extra oportunity to give them information why they should sign up to newsletter.

Let me check out the check box idea for a temporary work around.

It is just so weird because two captchas work on the other two pages as expected.

I also thought about adding the actual acymailing module instead of the opt-in form, so let's see if i can make that happen too.

Looking forward to have that fixed in the next version of SPPB! Love the page builder!

PS: Is there a feature request area somewhere? I would like to see if a "load more" (not all) button could be added to the "Articles" (k2) feature, as well as a filter to filter out articles/k2 items on the top of the list of Articles. See this page: https://tsri.com/case-studies

In current 3.x version no changes are planned, we are working hard to finish v4.x soon, then for this version new features are planned.

I fully agree, I would like to have this feature as well, few people asked as well.

Thanks
