Horrible Interaction With K2

Hi, I still have an issue with your plugin, SP pagebuilder: i'm having k2 items disappear because of being made with sp page builder. Another one just disappeared, completely randomly. What i mean is that the article's there, but then all the content made with SP page builder in it, just vanishes, for no apparent reason. I had opened several previous tickets for the same issue before, but none gave me an actual solution to this problem. How can i get rid of it? Looking forward to your reply, br

Giorgio

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access to check the issue? I will check & get back to you soon.

Note: Site URL is missing.

-Thanks

I am experiencing this very same issue. The SP Page Builder is very unreliable inside a K2 Item. The READ MORE feature does not work. And like Giorgio says above, the content just disappears over night.

Me again. I found this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVLce8ta8GM which indicates that whichever TAB you save under is what ends up on the site. If all of your content was created using SP Page Builder and then for whatever reason you click the Joomla Editor tab and click save, all of the SP content disappears.

I am testing this now and it seems to be working. So, all good there.

This leaves the READ MORE issue. It is not getting picked up by K2 and displays no text on the Category Item View. I have pasted the following code inside a Raw HTML Add On inside of the SP Page Builder:

<hr id="system-readmore" />

Is that not the way to get READ MORE to work when using the SP Page Builder? I see no other option to insert READ MORE in the SP Page Builder.

Here is the code I am using for READ MORE. It is in the Hidden Content area...

If you use the page builder anywhere you cannot use the read more feature inside the page builder.

Hi Toufiq.... in this thread, Paul seems to think that there is a way to do this: https://www.joomshaper.com/forum/question/8265

I have tried it and it seems to be working. What do you think?

Are there any effective solutions to this?

Or should i consider the huge work of switching over all articles to native Joomla! articles? Would it work properly then?

I do need an "archive" view for the posts, with just the small featured image, the article title, a short description and the read more links (such view will be required for the category pages) and a "single post" view, for the post itself!

Hi Jabal, thanks for your reply! It seems i can't see the hidden content you posted, unfortunately.

There is no option to switch autometically Page Builder editor to Joomla article.

I do need an "archive" view for the posts, with just the small featured image, the article title, a short description and the read more links (such view will be required for the category pages) and a "single post" view, for the post itself!

This not possible using page builder. Cause, there is no archive feature inside the page builder.

Hi, can't you consider updating and adding the post archive feature? I mean, it's not really something strange, just like a blog! What's so hard? There are tons of websites that store posts in category, why can't this extremely basic functionality be considered by such a popular component as SP Page Builder? Whish i knew this before, i would've probably used something else. What's weird is that on this website i made years ago with SP and K2 i've never had such a problem: https://bussolinomarafioti.it/

So you're telling me that i can't recreate such post archive even if i manually switch every actual K2 article into a default Joomla article? Not even then i would be able to achieve what i want? IF it's so, that's really short-sighted.
