SP Page Builder 4.0 Beta 2 Brings New Features, Multiple Fixes, and Performance Improvements

Good day, Joomlers! Today, we’re dropping another beta update to your favorite Joomla page builder. This bug-squashing update fixes a handful of issues, brings new features, and performance improvements. Numerous changes have been made to SP Page Builder 4.0 Beta 2 (Lite and Pro). Please go through the changelog to find out what this update has in store.

While we are fine-tuning the SP Page Builder 4.0 towards its stable release, we invite you to experience how it is going to be before it finally arrives.

Today’s (Mar 22nd) Beta version is an experimental release and not ready for production sites. We wholeheartedly appreciate your interest in SP Page Builder 4.0. You are invited to try this Beta version, but DO Not use it on a production site

Please note this is a Beta release. Feel free to experiment with the release on a staging site and let us know you like it so far. Let's take a look at the changelogs of both versions.

New Inline Edit Functionality 

In this Beta release, we’ve added Inline edit functionality to edit the title of Button Group, Accordion, and Tab addons. Now, you can easily edit the titles just by clicking on them without having to edit them from the addon editor. This will speed up your workflow by making the overall editing process more intuitive.  

New Google Fonts Disable Option

 Previously, SP Page Builder loaded Google Fonts without any disable option. In this Beta 2 release, we have added a Disable Google Fonts option that will allow you to choose whether you want Google Fonts to load or not. 

Simply navigate to the Components > SP Page Builder. From the dashboard go to Settings. Scroll down to find ‘Disable Google Fonts’ and enable it if you don’t want the Google Fonts to load. 

Miscellaneous Fixes and Improvements

This update mainly focuses on bug fixes and improvements to existing features. Some of the notable fixes are mentioned below. 

•  Added new (+) button: In today’s update, we have updated a new (+) button in the inline editor to easily add a new addon item for all addons. 
•  Table addon improvements: The table addon got the most improvements. From fixing CSS, the same id for text addon, border, padding, pages item number infinity, total entry, pagination issue — the table addon now works more smoothly. 
•  Column deletion from layers: Previously if you deleted a column from the layers section, the space occupied by the column would still appear where you couldn’t add a new addon or delete the space.  This issue has been taken care of in this update.
