Hide the Logo Text

Using template Dylan transparent header... Im unable to leave the logo text blank and unable to hide it with css..why is that?

sp-header .logo {

display: none !important;

}

Also how do align the menu left or right ...?

Have to put something here as you cant use the hidden content area and leave this blank....frustration ensues...
