Very bad behavior by SP Soccer

Asked by Pirosoft 2 years ago Last activity 2 years ago

Hi,
Given that in Italian the date format is DD/MM/YYYY: why is March (8 March 2024) indicated as the next match when in the list under the same page there are matches prior to 8 March 2024 which could be indicated as next game? such as the matches on 8 December 2023, 16 December 2023, 30 December 2023 etc. ?

See: https://www.loom.com/share/f64b5b526d484c52b3e041474ac97c85?sid=b86a23e9-b94c-4b09-adf0-957056c2be1e

Live site: https://staging.pgscoriglianorossano.it/pgs/area-sportiva/campionati

Edit: Or with that Next Match you wanted to indicate the Last Match of the Championships?

Always a problem with dates (I remember that in Italian the date format is: DD/MM/YYYY).
SEE Hidden Content.

Furthermore, for privacy reasons, the fields are not always filled in and not filling them out returns an error.

Hi Pirosoft,

[ I do not work for JoomShaper ].

Just trying to think how you could solve this...

  1. is there perhaps a featured match/event option which is perhaps 'tagged' for this 8 March 2024 event which is precedent over the other dates ?

  2. or possibly an issue with the server timezone/date/time format vs what your Joomla site has in its configuration that could be throwing it off ?

Just 2 things that come to mind that might lead you to an answer,
Cheers,

E.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but that's not the case. Joomshaper still doesn't know how to manage dates in its components and I've been struggling for almost a year trying to solve all these problems.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The comma can be removed, but what I would also like to see resolved is that in the next match the next match would actually be displayed and not the last match of the championship as now.

To make you understand better, as of today (14 December 2023) the next match corresponds to that of 16 December 2023.

Best Rgds

On this page called Fixtures & Results page. Which is indicated last match result and upcoming match schedule. That's it. If you need change date format, Please tell me which date format you want. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, but I probably didn't express myself correctly.

If this page is called Fixtures and Results and indicates the result of the last match and the schedule of upcoming matches, where is the Next Match because the next match is not shown (in the temporal sense) which should be 16 Dec 2023 and not the one on 08 Mar 2024?

Please check carefully, because the next Match should be on 30 Dec 2023 at 3.30 PM.
Screenshot: 20 December 2023 at 2.27pm

it looks like this:
https://prnt.sc/Jxlj7fkL31y8

In subsequent times you should always see the same day and time, but as you can see until 3.28pm (3.29pm) you still see the correct date and time:

Screenshot: 20 December 2023 at 3.28pm:
https://prnt.sc/v1WjpxJaX2GW

then at 3.30 pm the next date and time are shown (20 January 2024 at 6.30 pm):

Screenshot: 20 December 2023 at 3.30pm:
https://prnt.sc/cXciOHMatkrE

which remains displayed until 6.29 pm
Screenshot: 20 December 2023 at 6.23 pm)
https://prnt.sc/rZpxLkYnDOSQ

When you reach 6.30pm everything disappears:

Screenshot: 20 December 2023 at 6.30 pm
https://prnt.sc/RldxKpV63rbi

In the screenshots you can see not only the time in Italy but also the time in Dhaka.

This is why yesterday different dates were seen and then disappeared.

I will check at 3.30pm and 6.30pm Italian time, because these are the times when the anomaly occurs.

At the moment it seems to work. I'm waiting until December 30th to see if the behavior is correct with the later date. Thank you.

It's almost perfect. The only problem is that, for example, on 30 Dec 2023 after 3.30pm (see the screenshot at 9.33pm [21.33] ) the next date should already be displayed, i.e. 7 Jan 2024.

If it were possible to correct this problem too it would be fantastic.

I will wait for January 7, 2024 after 10.00 am, because I should view the next match at 11 am also on January 7, 2024

As for the date, it seems fine to me, there is just a small discrepancy with the times.
This screenshot refers to January 7, 2024 at 10.05 am.

https://prnt.sc/SR8TXkb_1swQ

As you can see, on this date there are 3 matches.

In consideration of this, at 10.00 am on January 7th the next match must be considered the next one on the same date of January 7th, i.e. the match at 11.00 am and in the absence of other matches of the day the match of the following day will be displayed (in this case after 11.00 am that of January 12th at 3.30 pm):
https://prnt.sc/wviueiGIDQOf

If this is not possible let me know.

I don't know what other words to explain.
The control for the next game as well as by date should also be by time.
If you can't do it let me know.

I don't see the soccer extension in our directory.

Hi, By mistake I indicated 4.1.1.
I can't find the SP Soccer extension anymore.
Does this mean SP Soccer has been abandoned?

From your website:
"Live Sports is a complete sport Joomla Template dedicated to all types of athletes, sports streaming, sports clubs, live sports news, or any other sports organizations. This carefully crafted template is a rich combination of irresistible, modern, and clean design with top-notch features, ready-to-use pages, and smooth functionalities.

Besides its great design and powerful features, the template harnesses the power of the SP Soccer component allowing your site to function at its best. Also, with the endless customization option, fine-tune it further any way you want. Start on the right foot with this beautiful sports template and make a difference once and for all."

We don't have plan to continue this extension. That's why we have removed. But, we will try to update it for the template. Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
It seems very unfair of you to stop continuing the development of SP Soccer.
Considering that it is one of the reasons why the Joomshaper subscription was subscribed to, and that on your part the discontinuation of this extension was not even communicated on your channels, leaving your customers who are using SP Soccer in great difficulty.
This behavior is a symptom that you do not care about your customers, leaving them to their own fate and having to redo the work (probably with another extension), wasting precious time that cannot be recovered.
