Hello claudia,

Thansk for reaching out to us.
Please go to the products page and click on the product you wish to edit. You will see the product image displayed; click on the image, and the delete option will appear.

Thank you!

Hi Ziaul Kabir, I probably wasn't clear in the previous support request. I know the procedure to delete an image from the products page (it's quite similar in PrestaShop and Magento), the problem I encounter after selecting the images that I want to delete the "delete file button" doesn't work as it should

(this is still the same project under development for which I received support from your Ofi Khan colleague, you should have a full backup in zip format)
I provide your website link and admin access so that you can investigate the issue more closely, thanks

Thanks,
I am checking your issues.

Hello,

I have investigated the issue and created a backup using Akeeba, which I’ve successfully downloaded and tested on my local machine. Everything appears to be working fine locally, and you can also download the backup and check it on your end. This issue does not seem to be related to Easy Store.

I would recommend contacting your hosting provider to check if any file permissions have been added or changed for the directory: https://bituci.com/izanz/.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Hi Ziaul Kabir
it seems that your delete button in the OVH system is trying to do something that is not allowed by security reason "strict-origin-when-cross-origin". No problem inserting images and deleting images in the product description area throught TynyMCE. No problem inserting images and deleting images in the articles throught TynyMCE. Only your delete button is not working. Please help us

We’re always here to help you.

Could you please check if you’re unable to delete any media files? You can do this by going to the Media section and attempting to delete one of the files.

You should encounter an error if the issue persists.

I’m also looking into other possible causes for this.

Hello,

Could you please check if ModSecurity is enabled on your hosting server? If it is, kindly disable it temporarily. Additionally, ensure that the file permissions for your media files are set correctly: the media folder should have permissions of 755, while the files should be set to 644. Also, please verify that the server is configured to allow the necessary CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) permissions.

Thank you!

Hi Ziaul Kabir
following your suggestions, I investigated further to find a solution. To develop our web projects we use shared hosting, multiple dedicated hostings and different vps. For some strange reason I have unfortunately noticed that many users complain about the inability to use Joomla correctly because in shared hosting the DELETE method is often deactivated for security reasons and therefore Media Manager and derivatives may not work correctly.

The solution in "shared hosting" is to remove the images directly via winscp.
Thank you for your support and time. I hope that what I found can be useful to others with the same problem. Best regards

Thank you!

Yes, it appears that ModSecurity is enabled on your hosting server, which is likely the reason you’re unable to delete media.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

If not, could you please accept the answer to this post?

Thank you!

Please go to this location:

administrator/components/com_easystore/src/Traits/

and replace Media.php file with the attached file. You need to unzip the file and then replace.

Media.php.zip

It should be fixed this time.
