Solved SP Page Builder

create news from articles with page builder

Asked by Martin Seidl 5 years ago Last activity 5 years ago

Hi Guys,
see here: https://mero.arkiadesign.de/
I have joomla articles with j category and I want to have them on the index page in 2 columns. I chose "article scrolers" from page builder and it looks nice but I cant create 2 columns with it. What or how can I do to have 2 columns news with article/category source?

or alternatively:
How can I get the design of "function box-addon" like it is on https://mero.arkiadesign.de/ under "Aktuelle Projekte" (scroll a bit down) with joomla article category source? (means to have the images left to the text)

Hi there,

Thanks for contacting us. Sorry for the inconvenience. Are you talking about article addon settings of 2 column? If yes, Will you please provide me the Joomla administrator access to check the issue. I will check and get back to you soon.

-Thanks

Hi Toufig, thnx for attention.
What I need is a nice looking news addon where I can display joomla articles from a category "news", because I dont want to write the articles twice. Right now I use the "function box-addon" ( NEWS
AKTUELLE PROJEKTE) but here I need to create content in the function box AND again in the article. I like the design thou of the function box. see https://mero.arkiadesign.de/

I would like to send you img attachment but dont know how to do that.

I want the design like here https://mero.arkiadesign.de/ "Aktuelle Projekte" but the source should be articles (joomla or page builder)

Do you mean something like this?

This is Article Addon + css coding

Martin Seidl Asked this

yes this is the part, but the text should be in list style

Pavel

With the existing Article Addon list style is not possible, since any html formatting is cleaned automatically. Previously, it was possible with the old version of the addon

ok thank you, but what to do?

shall I use external extension?
I guess my issue is very common.
people want to disply news nicely and use article ressource with read further link...
I appreciate if u have any suggestion.

Perhaps if you ask the Joomshaper team, you will be given an old version of the addon, which can be used as override the existing addon. Or you can use standart Joomla module "articles news".

And at the notes of the team. I understand why you did clean the formatting, as for unprepared users it caused problems. But now we can not use any useful formatting. Please consider the ability to create a switch to clean the format if required as it is in JCE.

Martin, I checked Article Addon from SP PB 3.0.1. And it does not clear formatting.

You can create an override using the SP PB documentation.

Here is a download link https://www.dropbox.com/s/txqmb2w5kc9z3pc/articles.zip?dl=0

But be careful with its use. You will need to independently follow the cleanliness of the code in the article and correctly determine the place to install the read more separator, so that it would not break the tags.
