I have a site on a remote server:
Joomla 5.2.2
PHP 8.1
SP BUILDER Version: 5.4.4
When I want to upload a WebP image from the Media Manager, I have no problems.
I back up the site (with Akeeba Backup), restore it locally with XAMPP, and there, while I can upload images from the Joomla media section and use them with the link, when I try to upload a WebP image from SP Builder, I get the following error: Request failed with status code 500.
The permissions of the folders are OK, and the server configuration is fine (in fact, I can upload WebP images using Joomla's media manager).
I would appreciate your guidance...
Best regards!
Gonzalo

I'm facing the exact same issue with the same configuration using XAMPP, getting a 500 status code error when uploading images through SP Page Builder. For me, it's happening not just with WebP files but also with PNG and JPG formats.
Hopefully, support can assist us in resolving this problem. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Hello Gonzalo,
Thank you for reaching out, and I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing.
To resolve the issue, please ensure the following PHP extensions are enabled in your XAMPP environment:
extension=gd
extension=imagick
These extensions are required for proper handling of WebP images. After enabling them, don't forget to restart Apache in your XAMPP control panel for the changes to take effect.
If the issue persists, please let me know, and I will be happy to assist you further.
Best regards
