top bar colors after updates

Asked by Robert 5 months ago Last activity 5 months ago

It's been a bug for years now after updating Helix; the change of colors. The top bar colors back to basic. Compile scss switching does not help.

Also this:

#sp-top-bar {
    background: #231f20 !important;
    color: #ffffff !important;
}

does not win from the template css.

Please, when does this get fixed?

edit, after multiple cache delete it finally worked.. but the question remains. It annoying for years now after updating helix.

If caching then it's depends on your server caching system.

Hi Robert,

I apologizes for the inconvenience.

As a more stable workaround, I’d recommend creating a dedicated custom CSS file so your styles consistently override Helix updates:

To avoid this issue, please create this file and keep your custom styles there:

/templates/shaper_helixultimate/css/custom.css

Add your CSS inside this file. It is loaded last, so it won’t be overridden by other template or compiled CSS.

Thanks

I always have a custom css file there, it happens often after an Helix update. Compile scss on and off multiple times, delete website and browser cache multiple times.. it been for years now you need to take this steps after an update. Why is the top bar background color not to edit in the color scheme of Helix itselve? We can only set the font color of the top bar.

Could you please share temporary administrator access to your Joomla backend? You can provide the credentials securely in the hidden content section. Also, please take a full backup of your site before we make any changes.

Once I have access, I’ll investigate further and see what’s causing the issue. Let me know once you’ve shared the details!

Best regards,
