Problems saving menu model in off canvas position

Asked by Jan Korshavn 1 month ago Last activity 1 month ago

Hi,
I'm working on a new site (content is upgraded from J3 to J5) and experience a problem when I try to save a module containg the main menu for use in the off-canvas position.

There's 1 module (not published) called Mobilmeny, please check what happens if that's published. Or point out the error it there's something wrong here..

Site is off line and is a working copy.

Best regards,
Jan Korshavn

Hi jk,

Yes, some of the internal files use older code that is no longer supported in newer Joomla versions.

However, if you have only recently started working on the site, I would recommend considering a Helix Ultimate-based template, as Helix Ultimate is our latest framework.

For disabling the off-canvas menu on larger screens, please check the following documentation:

How to Disable Offcanvas Menu on Desktop

Hi Rashida,

Yes, now it works. Was this an error in the template? I downloaded it fresh not many days ago..

And how do I get the off-canvas menu to disappear in the normal screen mode? To appear only on small(er) screens?

And there's also an issue where the Phoca Map covers the sub menu items on mouse-over-menu, please check here:

This map has a higher z-index value, so the following custom CSS should help resolve the issue:

.leaflet-container.leaflet-touch-drag.leaflet-touch-zoom {
    z-index: 1;
}

You can add this CSS to the template's Custom CSS field. For more information, please refer to our documentation:

How to Use Custom CSS
