Hello SP Easy Image Gallery uses JCE as in the Joomla articles, but the tag {loadposition xxxxxx} to display a module in the article doesn't seem to work. Is it normal ?

Hi there!

Thanks for your query.

Where did you try to add that, please? SP Easy Image Gallery module within a Joomla article?

Best Regards

Hi,

Shortcodes doesn't work inside SP Easy Image Gallery description field, and no hack for it.

You have to publish Custom module with shortcode under.

Thanks Paul. This is very annoying, to have to create a custom module for each of my hundreds of pages, made all on the same layout : an article with a gallery + a joomla module + a vertical menu . In my layout, if I make the article (description tab with JCE + gallery) in Easy Image Gallery, the gallery is not full width. Here is the layout with an independant module pour the gallery made in SP Easy Image Gallery, and a normal Joomla article. See screenshot in hidden content. The solution was to make the whole page in SP Easy Image Gallery, with 3 columns in the JCE area, with the module position 1 and the vertical menu each one in a column. The gallery would automatically be full width.

So, I will have to make about 1 hundred of independant gallery modules, if it's not possible to use the position tags in JCE, when its used in SP Easy Image Gallery.

Maybe sombody can customize you SO Easy Gallery component code, sorry but I cannot help more in shortcode topic.

Or maybe consider using different gallery component or plugin until it's not too late.

I was already using Unite Gallery for that, but that's why I have to rebuild all these galleries, as Unite CMS will not update any of their Joomla extensions to Joomla 4. And I want to update to J4 before I put this site on line. I have no idea how to customize Easy Image Gallery to be able to use the {position xx} tag in the JCE area, so I have to manage with another solution.

Sorry, but we don't help in php customizations, maybe hire freelancer from your city. It may save you a lot of time.
