How/where To Assign A Module

I created a custom module. I have created a mega menu / 2 colums. I added a joomla module to one of the columns.
Where/How do I assign the custom module I created to the megamenu?
The documentation is not correct (older version of helix)
Please guide me.

Thank you for your query.
After publishing the custom module, when you are adding mega menu - search for your custom module. Kindly check the screenshot below - I have published a custom module named "testM" and when I search for it, it shows up.
