Remove Rel="noopener Noreferrer" From Links

Hello,

I want to use the "client" addon in my page to add external links, but each link is automatically created with the rel="noopener noreferrer" attribute. How can I remove this attribute from links?

Is setting "Open Link In Same Window" to YES, the only way of removing this?

Additionally, I at least I want to remove the "nofollow" attribute to these links. Can you tell me how to achieve this please?

Thanks Chris

Okay, I am explaining the steps in details.

  1. Go to this location: components/com_sppagebuilder/addons/clients and copy the folder.
  2. Go to this location: templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sppagebuilder/addons/clients and paste the folder.
  3. If you do not have the sppagebuilder folder under your template directory, then create it.
  4. Then inside clients folder, you will see admin.php and site.php file which are responsible for Admin view and Site view respectively.
  5. Now you can customize the files which will affect Clients addon on your site.
  6. And the good thing is even if you get SP Page Builder update, your file will be preserved on your site. You can always use your customized version.

Hello Mojo

You need to override Clients addon for this. Please follow this documentation and override the addon in the template.

Best regards

Hi Ofi Khan,

Thanks for the response.

Following your link, I found the heading "How to Override Addon in a Template", but how should I override the addon?

Is there a specific area of code I need to edit/remove?

I'm not so technical, so any advice you can give would be appreciated.

Regards

Hi Ofi Khan,

Thanks for the detailed response. This is a big help.

I followed those steps and in the site.php file I see 4 instances of rel="nofollow".

I assume that if I delete each instance of rel="nofollow" in this file, that should do it?

Thanks a bunch Chris

You are welcome. Probably, you need to remove all instances. Just delete, save and then check the site. You will find the right way.
