Estate Template: Order Criteria When Uploading Pictures

Hi, What's the irder criteria when uploading pictures for a property? Example of what I mean can be seen here on the slider http://demo.joomshaper.com/2018/estate/index.php/rents/3-witch-of-divinity

I would like to know if I should rename my files in alphabetical order, add numbers or something similar to show pictures in the order I would like to, not randomly. I already discovered that names should be unique for all properties.

Best regards, Ricardo Retuerto

Hello Ricardo Retuerto

The order criteria is as follows: the image uploaded first, shown first.

Hi Ofi Khan, Thanks for your quick answer.

Criteria for the first picture does not solve my issue, in fact, it only applies if I upload one picture and then, save. But if I batch upload, no criteria is applied to the images order.

So, could you please guide me on the criteria of how this functionality was buildt?

You can see the order after uploading in the administrator of the property.

Hi, Being able to see has nothing to do with order criteria, as that's a result. I cant even re arrange pictures, so, to see if is not linked to re order, it is unuseful. Maybe I explained myself wrong, here I explain clearly what I mean:

ORDER BY clause i.e: alphabetically Ascending Descending

How do I know the picture order before uploading? I need joomshaper to explain me how to proceed, nothing to fix, nothing improve, just an explanation about how it works.

Hello. I also spent hours on this problem of ordering the properties images. And its impossible to upload in one clic or drag and drop a batch of images with an alphabetic order (tested with letters and with numbers). We have to upload + save them one by one, and, even with this very slow method, sometimes Estate changes the order in admin and frontend, as it wants.

Hi Django,

As a loyal customer, it is quite disappointing to know that an extension criteria is "as it wants" or "without order" beacuse Joomshaper works great 99% of times on templates and extensions (check my subscriptions log). So, arrived to this point, I really appreciate your efforts and ask you about a fix for this. Real state product pages are to show a house, apartments or others, and if there is one common thing between all of them, is that they all go with lots of images. So, we could agree that uploading one by one needs to be fixed, as it is not an improvement, it is an error. If not, I would have to jump to wordpress with Houzez template maybe with this site, but for sure with future projects.

What do we do?

I don't think the numerous problems whe had, and still have on this site, come from the template Estate, but from the component SPProperty used in this template. Helix and SPProperty are my favorite Joomla tools, but SPProperty had native bugs, and the last update was on december 2018 ... Joomshaper had to customize a few files to make it working almost properly for us, but we have 3 last (I hope) problems : the ordering of the images in the property slideshow, images missing in the thumbnails, and the search module (with keywords) working also when it wants. I opened a ticket for these pb.
