HTTP 500 Logging Into Admin Backend

SP Page Builder 3 years ago

Hello,

Ever since we upgraded to the latest version of SP Page Builder and updated to Joomla 4.1.0 we have noticed that anyone in any group below Superuser (such as Administrator or Manager) is unable to login to the backend. It gives them an HTTP Error 500 internal server error. We were successfully able to reproduce this issue and fix it on our test server by removing SP Page Builder. We need SP Page Builder functional on our production server and cannot remove it. Please advise.

Joomla 4.1.0, SP Page Builder 3.8.6

Thanks!

Hello

Thank you for your query.

Could you kindly check out the following documentation link for this issue?

https://www.joomshaper.com/documentation/sp-page-builder/sp-page-builder-2-x/500-internal-server-error

The 500 Internal server error may be related to a variety of factors concerning the code of your website and any changes you may have made.

Hello,

I have reviewed these suggestions, and unfortunately they did not solve the issue. This issue only recently occured after we completed some updates. We have tried various file permissions, checked the PHP version, etc and were unable to resolve it that way. Let me know.

Thanks!

Hello,

I have provided admin access in the hidden content as this is an important issue to us.

Thanks!

Now everything works fine. Administrator login works and page builder also works fine. So, what is your main issue?

Yes, that login works fine because it has Superuser permissions. If you use the testing login I provided above it doesn't work - because it just has Administrator permissions. Anyone who logins with permissions below Superuser gets an HTTP 500 error and cannot access the admin dashboard or SP page builder.
